I have officially been living here in NC a month, I am starting to get into the groove of life here. The first few weeks of working full time w/ the kids, I was EXHAUSTED when I came home. I've somewhat adjusted to that now. The next few weeks I had a cold, so this first month passed much quicker than anticipated. I haven't been able to really go out and wander and make friends as much as I would have liked by now because of work and my cold. I was working 1-8 which I thought I would like, but it ends up making it worse that way, since I'm not a morning person, by the time I get up and going I only have a few hours before work. However, starting Monday my hours at work will be 8-4, so I now will have afternoon/evenings off. I no longer need to use my gps on my phone to get work, the store, and a handful of other places! I'm starting to feel like this is home, not on an extended vaca. I've started working out at a gym, hoping that I might meet some people there while working on staying active and healthy. I am loving the "southern hospitality", everyone I've met has been SO friendly, so open, and so willing to help; even going above and beyond to help me out. It catches me off guard each time, but I'm sure as time goes on it will become the norm. I'm hoping in the next month to get out more and venture this new state I live in, adventuring into the surrounding cities (become more familiar with the area), make some friends, and maybe adventure to the beach (Myrtle or Atlantic Beach)! Let's see how much from my list will happen in the next month....
Bye for now <3
